JWHS Children’s Home

Rachel and Jonathan visited JWHS Children’s Home near Nakuru, Kenya, for a week in September. We had a great time visiting with the kids and checking out their schools. The JWHS campus is largely self-sufficient as they grow much of their own food, collect rainwater in large cisterns, run on solar power, and keep chickens and goats. We were very impressed!

School Fees Due in Kenya

Please help us support 6 children from the JWHS children’s home in Kenya. The next school term starts in September and these children do not have sponsors to cover school fees. Visit our Kenya page for more information.

Toys & Clothes to Ukraine

Five more boxes of toys and clothing were sent to orphanages in Ukraine!

Children’s Home in Kenya

Yellow Yarn is now supporting the JWHS Children’s Home near Nakuru, Kenya. We are working directly with an organization called Expanding Opportunities, which built the home. Yellow Yarn was able to cover the school fees for several children at JWHS for the current term.

Father Frost

During the first two weeks of December, we sent 5 boxes of winter clothing and 2 boxes of toys to three orphanages in Ukraine! The children were very excited. A staff member at the orphanage told the kids that the delivery was from Father Frost (Dyehd Moroz). Thank you to all of you who contributed to these projects!
